Hugs!

This card is based on the sketch at the Waltzing Mouse Stamps Challenge, and it has brown, red and turquoise for the CR84FN13 challenge.
I haven't used any patterned paper - just stamped myself- for this card and all my embellishments are handmade  which is the "Get creative" challenge at The Shabby Tearoom - even the lace is handmade - by me when I was 12 (!) - using a lace making pillow like the one below. Had to include another pic to show that my lacemaking skills have improved since, but I just didn't want to sit down at tie up and hide all those loose ends 0-: for this card!!! It is also a Valentine's card for Mark's Finest paper.
Stamps are from; Waltzing Mouse, Gel-a-tins, Skipping Stones and Prickley Pears.

Holiday Wishes in January!

Beautiful pictures at Jay Gee's Nook and a super sketch by Amy Tsuruta inspired me to make this Holiday card a year ahead!! I'm so glad your sketch was for Jingle Bells Amy, because then I got a reason to open and use my new HA stamps that I just bought on sale!!! Thanks!

Sweets for the Sweet!

Every Christmas me and my DH get AMAZING home made truffles - they just melt in your mouth - from our dear friend and colleague Pauline Morgensterns. New fantastic flavors every year and so beautiful to look at .

This year we got them in the cutest little boxes ever, and of course, the papercrafter in me emidately thought - got to copy the construction - so I made a sketch of it. Thought that that neat little box would be perfect for buttons, brads etc. Didn't make one right away though, but now when I saw the beautiful picture for the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger I thought that I'd love to try to make that box instead of a card. So I made one, with a little change to it so it would look more like the one in the Tuesday Trigger picture.

Before I posted my entry I just wanted to check with Pauline that it was OK and ask where she'd got the template from. It turned out - she's designed it herself. For my box I've used Prima Marketing's paper "Sweets" (!) from the Shabby Chic Collection.
Pauline also so generously said that I could share my sketched template here with you - thought you'd really appreciate it, but I just need to figure out how to attach a pdf file here on blogger first 0-:  ... Anyone knows?
You can find it HERE  or you can always e-mail me and I'll send it to you.

If you've had enough of papercraft  for a while and would like some mouth watering eye candy for a change you just have to check out Pauline's beautiful homepage; Line's Truffles !!! FANTASTIC - I envy her -making the world's best truffles is just one of her endless number of talents!
Have a great week, hugs Karin

Just a note to say; I'm thinking of you!

Who would have thought I'd use the OTWC color combo again ?? !!!- I wasn't super excited when I first saw it, but when I started on my card for Wee Memories, anything goes, I wanted to try out my new Pink Cat stamp (finally got to buy a new printer!!!) and ended up with that color combo - think it worked super with the cute Itty Bitty Betty image! It is also for the Animal antics challenge at Simon Says Challenge.

PTI January Blog Hop

Hi!
PTI Blog Hop Time again! Has it  been a month already? 0-: Anyway, for those of you who are not participating, this month's challenge is "to challenge yourself to use a Papertrey stamp set that has yet to see ink or even one that might be collecting a little dust!"  Well, this is the first PTI stamp set I bought (thanks Gayatri!) and somehow I've only used the sentiments though I love, love, love the cards I've seen people make with both the ballons and the kites so this was the perfect challenge for me! Don't think that the library card will ever gather dust here - it's one of my favorites -but a few weeks can seem very long (-; sometimes! I made sure I kept the colors Green, Grey and Orange so I could also enter it at the Playdate Cafe
No more babbling; here's my card:
Have a great day, and a great blog hop, Karin

Just a note to say -I love You!

Here's a card I've made for the last challenge )-: at 2 sketches 4 you. 2 great sketches, but I wonder if I have time to make another for the other one.
+ I kept it all gray so that I could also enter it for the Gray is the new black challenge at Moxie Fab. If my other gray card was a bit more inventive it was also very strict and maculine so I wanted to make a more feminine and romantic take on that challenge too!
Stamps: Skipping stones, Waltzing Mouse and Prickley Pears
Have a great week-end, hugs Karin

Oh no - just realized the sketch must have been mirrored when I printed it -should have seen that your name (Laura) was all wrong but the image was so small I didn't notice )-: Keep my fingers I'm not disqualified...

Tuesday Trigger

Was going to give up on this week's Trigger Target at Moxie Fab  because all I could think was; Wish I had that fantastic rose lace/ribbon I've seen beeing used lately that looks exactly like the pillow on the inspiring picture.  - but unforunately I don't but late last night I started trying to use what I had at home for this card. No fabric worked really well but then I found brown silkpaper in my gift wrapping drawer and made the flowers from that. Think they came out quite all right so there might be more of those on my cards in the future (-; The card (obviously !) can be folded up and is then tied with the same kind of ribbon that I used for the card.

Rosy Birthday Wishes

This card is made for teh Waltzing Mouse sketch challenge, the color challenge at CR84FN11 and for Glenda's challenge to use something red. Stamps are from WMS - teeny trees.

Monochromatic - pink!

This card is for the
where we are challenged to use these colors in an innovative way. Innovative is not easy in this world full of fantastic and creative cardmakers and papercrafters. Anyway, I gave it a try - I've brought in knitting for the Tuesday Trigger Strictly Stripes and my "Grey is the new black" had a touch of quilting so I thought - Why not try weaving for this one? Here's the result:

Fluttery Birthday Wishes

Thinking of You

This card is for the color combo challenge at Moxie Fab. If it wasn't for all the other great color challenges, some which I really struggled with (-:  that are going on now I think all my cards would be in this combo - just LOOOOOVE these colors!!!!

Gray is the new black

Gray is the new black is what the challenge at Moxie Fab World is called this month. To use gray in an innovative way. Here's my entry for that - I was aiming for a 3d effect with the different shades of gray and I think it worked out quite all right - I just hope it shows in my pictures (-:

Dry Embossing

Here's a card where I've used dry embossing. It is for the challenge at Mark's Finest Paper. I based it on Lucy's sketch at Lucy's Cards, which I realized I'd flipped when I'd made - a sketch (!) of it in my note book !!! Hope it's ok.

Winter Wedding

Here's my "Winter Wedding" entry for Pojjo's and Altea's Mix inspired by the picture on her blog and by this fabulous white wedding cake at the always so inspiring TT at  Moxie Fab World. Couldn't resist a little glitter on the flower - Last month's challenge must have changed something in me (-:
For the card I've used Prickley Pear's background stamp and embossed it.

Took a darker picture to show the embossing a bit more clearly.
