Season's Greetings

Hi!
This is my take on Paper Smooches SPARKS' Picture perfect challenge. I used the dots from Leafy Greens, the green leaves are from the Hang Ups set and the sentiment from Swanky Snow Dudes.

Have a great day everyone, hugs, Karin

I'm finishing off with a quote from one of my students;

I was teaching my ninth graders some embroidery stitches  and showed three girls how to make French knots. One of them asked - What do you use these for?
I showed them some examples and gave them some more suggestions; You can make flowers, borders or you can even make a tree full of them as leaves.
-What???? - If you make a tree from these  - you don't have a life!!!

How I LOVE my students (-:  - they make me laugh every day !!!

Kreate-a-lope® blog hop!

Today a few friends and I are having some fun with a cool product called the Kreate-a-lope®. It's an envelope template that does not require scissors, tracing, or measuring of any kind and it was created by Nick Romer.

Nick is currently running a Kickstarter campaign to relaunch the Kreate-a-lope® and raise funds and awareness for this must-see tool. If you want to support the campaign, you can see a short video and learn more here: http://www.greensneakers.com/kick2 or you can visit his site, GreenSneakers.com.

I used the Kreate-a-lope® 4x4 Square template and created some really fun Christmas/Winter themed envelopes from last year's Tom and Jerry Magazine. + By just folding my cardstock at the top I could trace around the center piece of the template and make some super fast and matching cards by cutting out Squares from the same strip! I just love how fast and easy you can create unique envelopes.

I recently showed how I made some super sweet envelopes for Ted's allowance Money by recycling old calendars. You can see that post HERE.

Make sure you stop by these super talented designers to see what they created with their templates. Promise you wonderful inspiration! Hugs, Karin

Guest designing for Bastel-traum

I'm not good at making cards in a limited time, I usually spend hours (almost) just on choosing the right papers (-:. So when I was asked to guest design for bastel-traum.ch challenge "under 15 min" I decided to do something I'm usually quite quick at - coloring.  I stamped, colored, diecut and then distressed my image - then diecut the heart frame for it.
I made it on time, but I'm not 100% happy with the result - I love to put my designs aside for a while and then come back- usually knowing then what needs to be changed.

Anyway, if you haven't Heard of the bastel-traum.ch before, you must check them out right away - really fun challenge themes and great designers too!
Thanks for having me, Ute and Thomas!

Hugs, Karin

He looks like he's about to give someone a giant hug, so the inside of the card says just that; hugs! Birthday ... hugs!

I used Derwent's watercolor pencils for coloring and paper from October Afternoon.
