Sunday Watercolors on a Monday

I've been away on a mini vacation to Legoland Denmark and to Stockholm and Örebro. We had a great time, but there's a lot to catch up with even if you've only been away for 10 days.

Hero Arts - One layer card

Hero Arts has a new challenge - which really is a challenge - to me at least - One layer cards. I find this so difficult because foam adhesive is my best cardmaking friend. But I LOVE playing along in the Hero Arts challenges and I really enjoyed making this one;

I used Hero Arts Thank You die for my ilayed sentiment, layered floral clear stamp and flower dot cling bg.

I'm also entering this for the Summer blooms challenge at Stamping Sensations.

A new fun challenge! - Tag You're it!

Hi everyone!!!
I'm so excited today because not only can I introduce a new fun challenge called Tag - You're it . I can also share that I'm not only guestdesigning today, but will also be part of the absolutely AMAZING design team - so many of my favorite designers and bloggie friends. Before you pop over there to check out what designers I'm talking about I just want to let you know that before the real challenge starts he 4th of July, there will be a mini Challenge to kick things off !!! Happy 4th of July!

It's my day on the WMS inspiration blog and since 4th of July is getting here really fast I thought I'd get some cards ready to send to my American friends. WMS has the best stamps for this - Even if I'm Swedish I absolutely LOVE creating and designing with the 1776 set.

The papers I used are from October Afternoon.

There's a new challenge called "The Cutting Edge Challenge" and of course I had to play along right away! I used the first card as my inspiration, picking up on the "love you" theme and the skyscrapes and since it is  anything goes week at SPARKS I'm entering it there too!

Sunday Watercolors

I'm continuing my watercolor mission to "get back on track" and this time I decided to try still life. I used a photo from Fine Art America as inspiration (it was copyrighted so I can't share it here) Fine Art America is a great source if you need some fast inspiration for a new subject/ painting.

I'm so happy summerbreak has started and I am hoping  to get lots of extra time to paint this summer (-:

Published Lawn Fawn Card

Today I'm sharing a summery birthday card I just had published in the summer issue of CardMaker. I used a silhouette cutting file for the circle sentiment and the the stamps and papers are from Lawn Fawn.

Sunday Watercolors

This is a scene from my hometown Gothenburg. For a long time I've been impressed with the work of Urban Sketchers and have wanted to have a go too. Last week I got the chance. They usually use ink straight onto their watercolor paper, but not having done this before I felt I needed to pencil sketch first. My plan was to draw outlines with ink afterwards instead  but then I chickened out and decided to leave it like this...

Today is your day!

Today I'm playing along with the Challenge at Hobby World called "Swedish Summer" with this - to me - very Swedish scene. (the sun never really sets in Sweden this time of year (-: )

Home sweet home!

Hi!

My card today was inspired by the sketch at Make the  day Special. I'm so happy to have found them because they carry all the US brands I LOVE but that are hard to find here in Sweden; LF, PS, ME etc. etc.!!!
For my card I used stamps from Lawn Fawn's Critters down under, home sweet home and Making frosty friends. The notebook die is from Paper Smooches.

Sunday Watercolors

After having had a lot of fun with my dog sketches I wanted to try painting a sheep, thinking it would be as easy as the dogs, but oh no - a lot of work behind this one...

...also, I've been practising "looseness" which I find so difficult - but it is funny how much easier it is to paint loose when doing something that is intended for the bin (-: Here I was using a scrap piece of bad wc paper, intended to just mix my colors on... It would need a lot more work to become a painting, but I still wanted to share it. I hope that when this year is over I'll be able to look back at my wc posts and see some developement  (-:
