Hope you've all had a WONDERFUL Christmas break. I have but the Days fly by so fast and on Tuesday it's back to work. I had so many things I wanted to do and so many friends I wanted to see, but...
I'm actually here to share a New Year's resolution I made - I usually don't make any but this year I did. I want to start painting watercolors again and I made a promise to myself to do so (-:
I used to paint a lot when I was younger, but then I've neglected it - I found cardmaking which has taken up most of my crafting time lately - I LOVE it but after seeing some wonderful Pictures at design seeds I realized how much I missed painting.
When Christmas break started I took out my colors and paper and made this Little sketch painting
inspired by this image:
I think you've all heard about design seeds - it's a wonderful source for inspiration, but if not, here's a link; DESIGN SEEDS
I soon realized I didn't have the same feeling for it as I used to - I guess you can't leave it for 10 years and then expect to just pick it up where you left...
So my New Year's resolution is to start from the beginning again, practising the basics, try the techniques I used to be good at etc. To put a little pressure on myself I decided to post about my journey here on my blog and I'm going to call it Watercolor Sundays.
I'm off to gym class, but will hopefully find time for some more skies later this afternoon.
Hugs, Karin

Karin, I am inspired by your resolution to start watercolour painting again. I have been using watercolour techniques a lot on my cards lately but like you I want to paint again. So I might set myself a similar goal.
