Just realized I never shared the finished picture from last week-end. I've been so busy at work I feel like I haven't had time even to think about painting, but last Saturday I did get some time and was really happy I took advantage of it. It is so easy to waste time on deciding/finding inspiration - a spot outdoors or an inspiring picture. I was attracted to the foggy mountain scene and tried to stay quite true to my reference photo - but as always with watercolors you need to simplify...
My new goal : just randomly pic one of the photos in my inspiration file and see where it will take me (-:
Hope to get some more painting time soon to try that out (-;
Wishing you all a great new week, hugs, Karin

ReplyDeleteThe foggy sky and misty looking mountains are beautiful!! I feel like I should be looking for Heidi in this beautiful painting!!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous scene, Karin!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing the completed project - I've been so looking forward to it! Simply adore the entire scene, but those black-faced sheep steal my heart!

ReplyDeleteHope life slows down for you to enjoy more painting time. I just finished a 12 hour day and have one more to go. (Parent/Teacher conferences) Fortunately I'll get Friday off to compensate for the two late nights!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Debbie
(Almost forgot to tell you that your painting is beautiful!)
Very pretty! It's hard to capture a sense of distance in a landscape, but you've done a beautiful job. I love the way you handled the meeting of sky and mountain, and the little dashes of red in the cool green & blue landscape.
