It is Sunday and I am here to share a new watercolor! Once again I've used the negative painting technique. I love it for several reasons - I like the result, but it is also very relaxing - you can't rush this way of painting, while when you paint wet in wet you need to get Everything done before the paper is dry which can sometimes be a bit stressful.
If you want to see more of my watercolors you can either click the "My Watercolors" button in the top list or in my Watercolors file on Pinterest; http://www.pinterest.com/peppermint42/watercolors - the paintings there are not only by me, though I wish because I've collected some favorites!
If I've used a reference photo it can most often be found in my "For paintings" folder on Pinterest.
Have a great Sunday, hugs, Karin

ReplyDeleteReally beautiful do you start with the background first?
ReplyDeleteHi Karin! Thank you for this beauty... love the acorns - and in our little Two Acre Woods, we have millions! I'd so love to see a video of this process? If I ask nicely? Please?

So soft and lovely. This sweet watercolor gives off an aura of calm and I could examine it for hours! I'm so glad you share these works with us, and thank you so much for doing that. Have a great week. Bev
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Love the blue/green shades and the shadows.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! We've had so many walks with the squirrels dropping acorns all around us from the tree tops!!
