The photo I used as a reference is one I took last week on our little excursion to Styrsö - an island in the southern archipelago.

Sunday Watercolors: Lingonberries

To loosen up is something I constantly have to work on and here is one way to practice: Paint without any preliminary sketches. Instead try to focus on the colors you see and paint only the "essentials".

Post for Lawnscaping Challenges; We belong together

Hi Everyone!
It's Karin here to share some inspiration for the Lawnscaping Challenge blog.

Today I have a card where I've used a Christmas set that is about to be retired - so hurry to get this sweet set that can be used all year round!

  • I started by making a cardbase from creme cardstock and then cut a panel using the largest stitched rectangle and cut it two ways to get the size I wanted.
  • I then stamped my images and sentiment to a piece of cream cardstock. I made sure I had more/darker ink at the bottom of the birds by removing some of the ink at the top of the birds with an inkblender - just to get some fast and easy dimension to my birds.
  • After that I layered some patterned paper on top of my stamped piece of cardstock and then diecut a stitched square.
  • Before adhering my stamped square to the card with foam adhesive I matted it to a blue piec of cardstock - same tone as the birds.

The Lawn Fawn supplies I used for my project:
Stamps; Peace, Love, Joy
Dies; Stitched Rectangles

Butterfly Reflections Ink; Mini Notepad

Hi Everyone!

I'm sharing inspiration on the Butterfly Reflections Ink today and here's a little sneak peek:

Pop over to the Butterfly Reflections Ink to get the details!

A couple of weeks ago I was shopping with my mom and when I needed to make a note of something she took out some scrap pieces of paper she had stapled together. She was reusing paper that would otherwise gone in the dustbin which is great, but I wanted to make her something nicer to carry around in her purse and quickly made a bunch of these:
I simply cut a piece of patterned paper 6x4½ and folded it as in the picture above.
I then cut a bunch of papers slightly smaller  than the inside of my notepad cover 3.7 (?)

I stamped each piece with a cute cat image and then stapled them in place.
I then stamped, colored and diecut a cat image to adhere to the front of the pad. I also cut and stamped a little banner.

Supplies:

Stamps:

Paper Smooches; Comforting Hugs

Dies:
My Favorite Things: Blueprints #25

Paper:
Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid

Ink:
Tuxedo Black ink
Rangers Distress Ink

Tools:
x-press blending card

Adhesives:
Foam Adhesive
Dot Gluetape

Coloring Mediums:
Copic Markers

Pop over to the store to find the products I've used for this card; Butterfly Reflections Ink

My Favorite Things Release Replay

Hi and welcome to a new My Favorite Things  Release Replay where we show new ways to use the products from the latest release.

And don't you just love the latest PI??? She's adorable and so perfect for summer Projects!

Also I really loved the cute Forest Friends so for my second card I wanted to show what a totally different look you can get by just changing the coloring medium and masking your scene instead of diecutting your images. Compare with my watercolored, diecut images from my June release post. (below)

I'm entering this card (above) for the Msking Challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

Make sure you vist the MFT blog where there are links to my super talented teamies for more inspiration on how to take your MFT supplies even further!
