Post for Lawn Fawn - Two MAGIC-PICTURE-CHANGER cards

Hi Everyone!

I'm Karin from https://peppermintpattys-papercraft.blogspot.com/  and the Lawn Fawnatics team here to share some MAGIC-PICTURE-CHANGER card inspiration with you.  I needed a Welcome Baby card for a friend who just had daughter. As always when I make baby cards I take out my #1 favorite set for that - the Hello Baby! And it is just perfect for a picture changing project - a before and after the baby is here (-:

I simply stamped the images and then colored them and the background with copic markers.
If You've never used the    before make sure to watch the Introduction video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qsUlUktNLhg  In it you will learn everything about how to stamp and put it together.
After I was done assembling the changer part I added the frame with double adhesive tape and then diecut some greens and flowers from   to add extra dimension, beauty and texture (-:
To make a cardbase for my project I simply made a cardbase to which I added a customized (customized because I wanted a more square card and cut the fancy scallopped rectangle first halfway from one side, sdjusted the die to make the next cut from the other side so I got a shorter version of it See pic below.

For my second project I used another set I wanted to try with the changer and it turned out to be just PERFECT - I love how the envelope opens as you pull that flap!!!

I made this card the same way except that I masked the envelope and letter with  Lawn Fawn's great full post-it notes so that I could ink the background instead of coloring it with copics. I used distress inks : Salty Ocean and Sketched Blueprint .
For my panel I used one of my most used bg dies of all time - the amazingly beautiful   and for pretty  decoration I diecut some flowers from the Spring Sprig Set (the grean leaves are also flowers (-:

I'm not sure if it shows, but for extra texture I added some glossy accent to the hearts on the letter.

If you haven't tried the picture changer die I hope I've inspired you to do so - I never tire of the fun and keep beeing excited and facinated everytime I make a new project with it ! It is so cool and the possibilites with it are endless!

These are the LF products I used for my projects:

Ch538 Anything Goes, Penny Black July 31st

Hi Everyone!

I am here to introduce a new challenge at the fantastic Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

This week's challenge is called: Anything Goes
The team is showcasing products from: Penny Black

And this is my take:

I inked my bg panel in different distress inks in pink and yellow/gold tones before adhereing some gold stars. The cute bears can hold any type of messages as long as you have letter stamps or dies that are not too big.

Simon Says Stamp August Release Blog Hop : Believe in You

Hi Everyone!

I am super excited to be part of the Simon Says Stamp Blog Hop - So many WONDERFUL goodies in this release! Be sure to hop along (names and links below) for amazing inspiration. When you are done hopping - make sure to visit the Believe in You Galleryfor even more inspiration. When you have your goodies ordered don't forget to share your creation there too so we all can see it! There are different galleries for all the SSS releases so you can share your old designs there too if you haven't already!!!!

You can view all the beauties in the release HERE

For my first card I started by inking a piece of cardstock with distress ink to use for my bg. I then diecut the beautiful    SUNFLOWER-STEM die from Arches-COLD-PRESS-WATERCOLOR-PAD. I used DS watercolors to color it before adding it to my inked cardstock.

I used Neenah cardstock for my frame and for the mom sentiment.

The customized frame was made by using the two largest inside out stitched square dies..

As always there's a lot of fun things going on whenever SSS has a new release: This time A free Tim Holtz mini Distress Resist Spray when you shop!
  • This gift is while supplies last.
  • This promotion will expire on 7/31/19.

ALSO:

  • SSS is giving away a $25 coupon to every stop on the hop from our blog comment section so be sure to remember to comment (-: . They’ll choose my winner over the next week and post the winner on our Simon Says Stamp store blog on Wednesday, the 31st of July.  If you are the lucky one you can email SSS to claim your prize :)

For my last card I  created a totally different style of card - bright colors are usually not my thing but I think the cool sentiments from Lunchbox notes inspired me to take out the brighter colors: I started by stamping the cool   STRIPE-JUMBLE-BACKGROUND in white on light blue cardstock. It created a soft but textured and interesting bg without interfering the rest of the design. I then diecut lots of mum (Mom and Dad dies)  from four different bright colors and two different shades. I used my Creative station to get the adhesive on before arranging them to my stamped card panel.

I then stamped one of the cool sentiments from  LUNCH-BOX-NOTES  and cut it apart before adding it to my card.  I hope you agree with me that mums can be Out of the World too and not just kids with lunch boxes (-:
Since I was already going all in (for me that is)  with bright colors I chose to finish my card off by giving it a black cardbase/ frame to enhance the colors even further. Hope you don't find it too loud (-: To add a bit cuteness to this card you can use the MINI-FLOWERS-AND-LEAVES .

For adhesive on these projects I used my new love - the Xyron Creative Station.  If you are interested I had a short post HERE  about it on my blog yesterday.

Xyron Creative Station

Hi Everyone!

I have always loved Xyron's adhesives but it wasn't till recently I got to try the Xyron Station for the first time and I fell in love right away! It has made my crafting so easy. If you follow me you know how much I love using cover-up dies for textured backgrounds. I want to cut a bunch up at a time but then they can be a bit tricky to adhere to your panel or cardbase - but not any longer (-:

With the station you just place your die cut bg or any other diecuts too of course, and run them through the station:

You turn the handle till you can see your diecut on the other side - Then you simply run the knife across the tape:

And you have a die cut with full cover adhesive on the back. Just peel of the transparent top and remove the diecut cardstock from the bottom adhesive layer and you can adhere it to your project.

Like on this card. Here I even ran the polaroid frames through the Creative station before adhering them to my colored "pictures" and then again so I could adhere them to the card - and the same with my sentiment strip. I LOVE how easy and fast this is.

You can get your Creative station HERE:

Have a great day everyone!
