Guest Designing for Neat and Tangled #2

Hi Everyone!

Today I'm here to share a card I made with adorable Neat and Tangled products. I have lots of colleagues who are expecting so I wanted to make some cards to have ready for them for when it is time. Neat and Tangles has the most adorable sets for "Welcome baby Cards"
Here are two suggestions.

This first design is easy to adjust to fit a baby girl  (if you want to be traditional that is) by ust changeing the color of the blanket and flowers. The sets I used for this card are Mommy daddy and Me and  Dream Big.

For my second card I used one of my no 1 images ever - I absolutely ADORE this daddy bear with his cub - so super sweet - I paired them here with a new love - the Receding Background. Here I think it looks like wood grain but using it in a different way it can be a rainbow, a graphic black and white look - well I could go on, but what I wanted to say is that it is useful for so many different styles and designs - it will be used many times here (-:

Paper Smooches June release inspiration #2

Hi Everyone!

Hi Everyone!

I'm here with a new project for Paper Smooche's. This month I am sharing projects made with the super fun and awesome products from the June release.

I created a fun summer scene for all the tea or coffee lovers out there - using the awesome new Cuppa Sunshine Die, - It is wonderful to play with and you can design new cups over and over again. I so love that it has one solid die and one die for the details so that it layers perfectly together making it super fast and easy to create a bunch of these in notime!

The adorable little kritter is from one of my all time favorite sets: Party Posse - so cute and fun!

For this card I played with some of the fun new products from the May Release:

SSS Ch531 Weddings/Anniversary. SSS

Hi Everyone!

I am here to introduce a new challenge at the fantastic Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

This week's challenge is called: Weddings/Anniversary.
The team is showcasing products from: Simon Says Stamp

And this is my take:

These clustered leaves are one of my all time favorite dies from SSS - it is useful for so many different occasions. Here I used gray, light blue and gold to create a strict but (hopefully) beautiful wedding card. Nuovo dots are a favorite of mine for adding those small (but oh so important) accents and for a bit of extra diemension.
I think this stylish-ish design is useful for so many other occasions too , just change the sentiment and it will be a nice birthday or anniversary card.

There are different galleries for all the SSS releases so you can share your old designs there too if you haven't already!!!!

You can view all the beauties in the release HERE

Congrats STAR sailor is for any of your sailor friends. My card is for my nephew who really is a star sailor - having won lots of sail races!   I started out by inking my background panel with distress ink; Cracked Pistachio, Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch and Black sooth. When that was completely dry I stamped and heat embossed the beautitiful Wavy Background. I then diecut the classic - but new (-:  anchor and stars from the Swirling Trail. For the alpha diecuts I used Rounded Alphabet Small  Outline Congrats from last month's release.

As always there's a lot of fun things going on whenever SSS has a new release:
  • If when you shop you use the code  CRL898you will get the Simon Exclusive Coral Reef Ink Pad *free* (while supplies last!) with any purchase.
  • The code will expire  6/9 at 11:59 pm EDT.

For my second card I wanted the cute Peeking Cat (there will be better pictures soon, but I am on vacation to Barcelona so these will have to do for now (: to shine and went super CAS. The bg panel is stamped with the Round and Round Background and heat embossed in white. For the inked center I used the same distressinks as for the card above. The sentiment is from one of my new top favorite sets - the Tiny Words Birthday.

  • SSS is giving away a $25 coupon to every stop on the hop from our blog comment section so be sure to remember to comment (-: . They’ll choose my winner over the weekend and post on our Simon Says Stamp store blog on Wednesday, the 22nd of May. If you are the lucky one you can email SSS to claim your prize :)

Guest Designing for Neat and Tangled

Hi Everyone!

Today I'm here to share a card I made with adorable Neat and Tangled products.

I started out by creating my own stencil by diecutting circles from a sheet of plastic folder and then inked a sky/confetty style background for the super adorable , Dream Big and To the stars.

For the first card I simply stamped, colored and die cut my image and adhered it to the panel with adhesive tape.

In the second card I used the inked sky as a bg to a panel o clouds that I created using the beautiful clouds dies from the coordinating dies.

To the stars
