MFT Summer School - White Space

Hi!

Welcome to the last day of MFT's summer school part 1! I hope you've enjoyed this feature on the blog as much as I have.
Today is all about Quiet Space/White Space – “White space” stays in the background to make the focal point or the sentiment the unabashed star of the show. And it doesn’t necessarily have to be White!

Complete product details, videos and links to all designers playing along with today's lesson can be found at the MFT Blog.

My Favorite Things; Die-namics Design:Shape it Up!

Hi and welcome to a new My Favorite Things   Die-namics Design Creative Challenge! Today we have designed cards with MFT's wonderful stax dies. So many useful shapes,  sizes and some with lovely stitched borders too. For my card I used the inside out rounded stitched Square dies to create a frame for the Little cute cat:

MFT Summer School - Lines

Hi!

This is how Susan Opel describes today's lesson at MFT's summer school: Line – Horizontal lines can be calm and quiet or an anchor, while vertical lines can convey movement. over the design. This is under the umbrella of creating balance - the way the elements of a card (lines, shapes, colors, textures, etc.) are arranged to create a feeling of stability; a pleasing or harmonious arrangement or proportion in a card design. And this is my take;

I used the panda set from the latest release - oh how I love that set (-: and diecut some bamboo sticks to  run across my card.

Favorite Technique and product!

Simon says stamp Wednesday challenge has a new challenge up and it is called Favorite Technique and/or favorite products. This card has both - I know I was late to the party with using stencils, but I've fallen in love with MFT's awesome stencils. For this card I used the giraff stecil and think I made it look like ripple on the pool water. And anything from Birdie Brown (MFT) will always be my favorites - Torico's images are so super sweet!

Make sure to also vist the MFT blog where there are links to my super talented teamies for more inspiration !

added ; forgot this- I also used Blueprint 25 for the stitched panel.

MFT Summer School - Movement - Cow's it going?

Hi again!

Today I'm here with another post for  MFT's summer school . Today's lesson is about:  Movement/Flow - "The arrangement of the elements on a card to create a sense of motion by using lines, shapes, forms, and textures that cause the eye to move over the design. Creating a Visual triangle with sentiment, paper, and focal point is a great way to show movement as well!"

Please pop over to MFT to check out  my super talented teamies' takes on Movement and leave some love!
