Ch 720 Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Card + Matching Envelope. Altenew

  Hi Everyone!

It is Wednesday and I am here to introduce a new challenge at the fun and awesome Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

This week's challenge is called: Card + Matching Envelope
The team is showcasing products from: Altenew

This is my take:

How to make this card:

This is  a super easy and very quick design. I started by making a cardbase and then diecutting a panel that I embossed using the basic-plaid-3d-embossing-folder and then adhered to my cardbase with foam adhesive .

I then stamped and colored and diecut the flowers and attached them to the card.  I stamped and die cut the sentiment and attached the sentiment strip to my card with adhesive tape. Last I embossed the flap on the envelope using the same basic-plaid-3d-embossing-folder as for the card panel.

Playing Cards with Friends

 I am so excited to join my dear friend Michele's fun Feature "Playing Cards with Friends". Here is her post: Michele's card.

Michele let me know that Today is “Hug a Greeting Card writer” day – so in a way we are celebrating our own craft and it is also 

 “Locate an Old Friend” day – I’m sure we each have a friend from school or our childhood that we’d love to reconnect with!  My friend Mimi and I did this after 50 years!

• Use a die-cut sentiment as the star of your card – anything else is okay with me!  i.e. flowers, critters, characters.  Water-coloring, Copics, or pencils for coloring.  Something that makes you, or that friend, smile!

Karin's Inspiration for Lawn Fawn September

  Hi Everyone!

I'm here with some inspiration for the  LawnFawn blog

I started by making a simple but sweet Christmas card using the new Ugly and Bright stampset and dies. I stamped the sweater image using distress ink - Antique Linen and then colored the sweater using watercolors. I used the same sweater stamp and stamped onto the diecut NOEL - I used the wonderful Henrys ABC (so useful and fun). I diecut a lacy heart and colored it with qwatercolor too. Last I added some gouach dots for snow.

Also I wanted to share a tip for those of you who might be outdoors painting watercolors. I created this little mini swatch notebook for the colors I bring with me when I paint Plein Air. 

This design can of course be used for an ordinary greeting card for a crafty friend.
