Guest designing for Hero Arts : A Vintage Christmas

Hi Everyone! I am so super excited because I am guest designing for Hero Arts today.  I've had a wonderful time playing with Hero Arts beautiful new vintage sets:

misteltoe2
For the first card I simply stamped the beautiful mistletoe stamp from the Happy Holly Days set two times and colored them with Copic markers.

I then fussy cut them and tied them together with a thin piece of red ribbon. (I actually didn’t have red ribbon, but white that I colored with my Copic markers — a super fast and easy way to get ribbon in exactly the color you want!) The sentiment is from the beautiful Snowy Tree set.

For my second card I started out by stamping the fir twig from the Vintage Christmas Post set with green ink and then diecut the panel using the Rectangle Infinity Dies. I diecut it two ways to get it wider than it is from the beginning. I then stamped my cones with dark brown ink and colored them with Copic markers before fussy cutting them.

The cone stamp is from Happy Holly Days. I then added them to my panel with foam adhesive along with some red pearls. The sentiment is from the Holiday Messages and Tags set.
I also share my cards, watercolors and papercraft projects on  Instagram.

Have a great day!  Hugs, Karin

Hero Arts Layering Stamps: Goldfish

The Challenge at Bastel traum is Thank You cards and at CASology it is FRAMES and at Papirdesign: it's all about the stamp -  this is my take. I used the super fun Goldfish layering set from Hero Arts for my card.

At Scrappegarasjen: the challenge is Less is more and it is a great card for a man too; Stamping Sensations - For the boys
And of course I have to enter the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge; - music with inspiration from A Swedish song called - Jag går och fiskar (I'm going fishing) by Gyllene Tider, but since most of you won't know (except for Anna-Karin (-: ) that song I found a fun old  Dolly's song called Something Fishy in which her dh goes fishing and there's something fishy going on  (-;

Have a great day

Hero Arts 2016 Winter Catalog Blog Hop

Hi everyone! I'm so excited today because I get to hop with HERO ARTS as they launch the Winter 2016 release in the Hero Arts store !!!!! So many absolutely WONDERFUL products I know you will love! So make sure you have a notepad to jot down all your favorites as you see them used in this hop. If you are doing the hop you should have come from  super talented Joan Bardee - if not, I suggest you pop over to Hero Arts and start from the beginning.

Watercolored Holly - Happy Holly Days

For my first card I used the beautiful holly stamp from CL998 Happy Holly Days. I stamped the holly four times with distress ink (antique linnen) and then watercolored them. But any type of coloring will be amazing with the images from this set! The sentiment is from the sweet new CM103 Holiday Animals

Supplies:
CL998 Happy Holly Days
CM103 Holiday Animals

Warm Wishes and Eskimo Kisses

Another super sweet set from the new catalog is the CL989 Warm Hugs. With just four of the stamps from that set I created this little arctic/winter scene. I started out by inking my sky background and then stamped and cut my images. I then cut some snowyhills from white cardstock and layered them so they would make a nice hilly scene for my images. When I knew how I wanted them I held them in place with some washitape and the bottom part of them all together. I stamped my sentiment to my sky bg and then adhered my hills with foam tape to get lots of dimension. The images are also attached with foam adhesive so even if it doesn't show in the picture it is a very 3d-y (!) card!

Supplies:
CL989 Warm Hugs
Ink: AF248India Ink Black

Vintage Tag

There are so many wonderful new sets in this Hero Arts launch - something for everyone and everyone's styles. I usually don't do vintage but couldn't resist playing with the beautiful stamps from
CL997 Color layering Snowy Tree and CM101 Vintage Christmas Wishes . For a super fast little Christmas gift get a vintage notebook and make a beautiful tag to go with it. For my tag I started out by stamping the snowman and then masked him with maskingpaper before I stamped the tree. I used ink for it and let that dry completely before I stamped the second layer, the snow with white pigment ink and embossed with white opaque embossing powder while the mask was still on.

I stamped my sentiment and then diecut my tag. Did you see the new Hero Arts nesting tag dies? They will be perfect for these kind of projects and so many sizes to choose from - just awesome!

I inked the edges with antique distress ink and then stamped some snowflakes afterwards. When I get the time I will stamp a whole forest of those beautiful trees - I just LOVE them!

Supplies:
CL997 Color layering Snowy Tree
CM101 Vintage Christmas Wishes
CM102 Vintage Christmas Post
Dies: DI197 Nesting Tag Dies
Embossing Powder: PW110 White
Ink: AF210 Field Greens, AF249 Unicorn White

Holiday Greetings (from San Francisco)

Last I couldn't help but share a card where I've combined  Kelly's San Francisco stamp with the sentiment from CM102 Vintage Christmas Post. I think they work so well together . The nesting rectangles that are released today too will be great for similar looking window designs.

Supplies:
CL971 Kelly's San Francisco
CM102 Vintage Christmas Post

You - are my sunshine!

Hi Everyone!

I'm sharing inspiration on the Butterfly Reflections Ink today and here's a little sneak peak:

Pop over to the Butterfly Reflections Ink to get the details!

Hi Everyone!

It's Karin from PeppermintPatty's Papercraft, here to share some inspiration. For today's card I've played with a wonderful new stencil from Hero Arts called Large Flower Stencil.

I placed my stencil on a piece of off white cardstock and held it in pålacewith some washi tape. I started by inking the yellow and Brown part of the flower first - then I created a mask for that part of the stencil (the flower) from masking paper - so I didn't mess my yellow flower when I inked the green leaves.

When I was done with that I let my panel dry completely before I cut out a stitched rectangle from it. I saved the leftover and adhered that outer frame to my cardbase. I then added the stitched rectangle panelinside the "frame" with foam adhesive to get a bit of dimension.

Last I diecut my "You" and adhered it to the card with glue tape.

Supplies:
Stencil: Hero Arts; Large Flower Stencil

Dies: Hero Arts: Thank You die  (mine is an older version)
My Favorite Things: Stitched Rectangle

Ink: Tuxedo Black ink
Rangers Distress Ink Scattered straw, Spiced Marmalde, Peeled paint, Walnut stain, Vintage Photo, Mustard seed.

Tools: x-press blending card
Blending tool
Stamping mask paper

Adhesives: Foam Adhesive
Dot Gluetape
Glossy Accent

Pop over to the store to find the products I've used for this card; Butterfly Reflections Ink

Have a great day, hugs, Karin
