My first DT card for TSG

Yesterday my dear friend and "colleague" at TSG stamps Vera Yates introduced a new challenge on the TSG blog - and it is a really fun and trendy one; Use Black Cardstock. I love that  - it makes the colors you use stand out and with my card I wanted to show just that even with the image I chose!!! (the downside is that it can be tricky to catch on photo - I had to brighten my card quite a bit to show the stitching...)  Anyway, I used a super sweet set called Every Child - wonderful images and great sentiments to match!
Inside this card says; Every Child is an Artist, the problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up!

Lawnscaping # 53 Texture

Hi Everyone!
I'm here to introduce a new challenge at Lawnscaping. This time it a " Texture" challenge!!!

Waltzing Mouse Design Team Bloghop

 

Hi Everyone!
Welcome to a Waltzing Mouse stamps blog hop! All of us designers were asked to use our favorite set to date. I chose the Half Pint Heroes - It is just the sweetest and coolest set (and what happened to the Tiny Trees ???? - I've always said they are my no 1 favorite set and maybe they still are - it really is the most versatile set I know! - but after having played with the half pint heroes and half pint heroines I'm in love with them too!!! (-: I just LOVE these super sweet guys and gals - so fun to work with!!! - and they make the cutest cards for kids - just what I need now with a 4-year-old in the house - invited to birthday parties all the time!

My first video tutorial!

Today Kelly Marie shows my first video tutorial ever over at Lawn Fawn's blog. I've been so nervous about it and still think it is terrible to listen to my own voice (especially when speaking English !!!) and keep seeing things I could have done better or changed, but now that it is out there I thought I might as well share it with you here on my blog too:

I just have to show you a picture my dear bloggie friend Laura Jane sent me today - a picture of a card her son Mark had made for her - inspired by my video! Isn't it the sweetest card - I just LOVE his bg, his coloring and how he embellished his card with his favorite Lawn Fawn images. - Wonderful!!! Thanks for making my day sending me this Laura! Thanks also to eveyone else who's made sweet comments about the video. It means so much and I will try to find time next week to return them.

Last week my polkadot card was picked as a Winning Recipie at Catered Crop  and that meant I got invited to join the fabulous Top Chef designers in next Sunday's Quickfire. If you haven't visited her blog yet you should right away, it is full of sweet cards and wonderful inspiation. I was the lucky winner of her blog Anniversary candy and this is what I got in the mail the day before Valentine's day. CAS-ology has a challenge (red+cute) that ends in only a few hours and this is the card I made for it. It was also created with HobbyWorld's Valentine challenge in mind (hearts + red and pink). Maybe I'll make the deadline this time???!!! - The past week I've come only an hour or two late for entering 3 different challenges that I'd created cards for . That's what winterebreak does to you - or maybe I was just so exhausted from all the parent-student meetings I had to be done with before the break that there's no room for remembering due dates etc. Frustrating anyway,  so I'd better not babble on but get this posted instead (-:

Today, after having seen Shari Carroll's video at HA blog I wanted to make a masculine Valentine's card.
I used the Tuesday Trigger picture at Moxie Fab world (hope you didn't have to make a B-day card (-: ) , the CAS-ual Fridays Love letters challenge and by Oozaks challenge to use your favorite colors (blue grey with kraft is the most beautiful combo I know - and I think my blog design shows that these are my fav colors (-: )  as inspiration.
