Happy Birthday!

Today I have a card for the wonderful 30-day coloring challenge that super talented Kathy Racoosing is hosting again this year - and do I agree with her when she says that coloring, if only for a few minutes a day makes you so much happier. This time I used watercolor pencils from Derwents which makes watercoloring so fast and easy!

Butterfly Reflections Ink : Just keep swimming!

Hi Everyone!

I'm sharing inspiration on the Butterfly Reflections Ink today and here's a little sneak peak:

Pop over to the Butterfly Reflections Ink to get the details!

Hi Everyone!

It's Karin from PeppermintPatty's Papercraft, here to share some inspiration. For today's card I've played with some new favorites I just got in the mail from BRI - such superfast delivery even for me who is on the other side of the pond!
I just had to have these wonderful layering stamps from Hero Arts. Have you tried them yet? They are so much fun to play with and you get a beautiful result both easy and fast!

I simply inked my bg with distressink and when it was dry I stamped the weed and bubbles. I added glossy accent to the bubbles for a bit of dimension.
The fish are simply stamped and fuzzy cut. I used MFT ink which worked out well I think.

Supplies:

Stamps:
Hero Arts Goldfish

Dies:
My Favorite Things Stitched rectangles

Ink:
Tuxedo Black ink
Rangers Distress Ink
MFT Hybrid Inks

Tools:
x-press blending card
Blending tool
Stamping mask paper

Adhesives:
Foam Adhesive
Dot Gluetape
Glossy Accent

Pop over to the store to find the products I've used for this card; Butterfly Reflections Ink

Have a great day, hugs, Karin

#WorldWatercolorMonth Day 7: Trees, Day 8: Bird Day 9: Mountains

#WorldWatercolorMonth Day 7: Trees, Day 8: Bird Day 9: Mountain

Hi! I'm catching up on the  31-day Watercolor challenge I'm playing along with on Charlie O'Shield's (Doodlewash) blog called #WorldWatercolorMonth. Charlie started this to inspire people to paint but also to raise awareness for children in need of art supplies and art education around the globe!.
#WorldWatercolorMonth

Well, I could hardly fit any more trees into this painting could I? Great practice!

For my mountains I got frustrated and threw it in the waste, but then thought I might as well share my effort and took some pictures of it before I cut it apart to use as scraps for testing colors. Now that I look at it two days later I think I could as well have given it another chance...
And last is a quick sketch of a bird... Now on to tackle Day 10 - A Pet - will be fun!
Have a great day!

I found some sea shells in a bowl and first I thought they looked rather bland, but when you look at them more closely you discover lots of colors you didn't see at first.

I created a cardbase from white cardstock and diecut a stitched rectangle. I inked that and added some stars my inking through a stencil. I used a stencil from Panduro, but you can achieve the same look by creating your own stencil by diecutting the star bg from MFT in scrap paper and then use that as a stencil to add some stars in the background. To finish off I stamped, colored a diecut Ewe image that I adhered with foam adhesive.
