July inspiration on the LawnFawn blog

 Hi Everyone!

I'm here to share some inspiration on the LawnFawn blog. Today I have a super easy and fast lantern you can make for any party or late night dinner you're planning this summer. Since it is made from paper you, of course have to use battery driven candles.

I started by cutting two pieces of cardstock 6½ x 4 1/4 and then scored them like in the picture below.

After they were scored I placed a scalloped edge die at the top and the garden window die at the center of one of the sides. I held the dies in place using postit notes and masking tape. I diecut windows through each of the sides.
I then used the arch die that comes with the garden window set to cut perfect pieces vellum to place in the windows which I adhered with selhesive tape. I then assembled the two cardstock pieces (trimming away a folded side on each of them) using doublesided tape. .
Last I cut some flowers and leaves from the spring-flowers-backdrop-die  back drop die set, colored and added them to the lantern using glue dots.

The LawnFawn blog is such a great place with lots of inspiration for your papercraft projects.

Simon Says Stamp's latest release: Out of this world

  Hi Everyone!

I am here to share a project made with Simon Says Stamp's latest release called:  Out of this world. I love to paint with watercolors, but if you don't , but still love the look of it - here's a tip - turn the embossing folder the opposit way so that you get indented images instead. Then, instead of having to fiddel and be careful to put  the paint in the right place - here you can simply pour down the paint and let it fill the leaves, stawberries and flowers - super easy and very fast too (-:

I just ADORE this embossing folder, which also comes with some dies for the strawberries so you can get as many embossed and die cut strawberries you like!

I'll be back soon with lots of more projects using this amazing embossing-folder-and-dies-strawberry-fields

You can find more inspiration for the wonderful new products from this release here: Out of this World Gallery

On the Simon Says Stamp blog You'll find awesome Galleries for their products where you can upload your projects to share with others or just visit to be inspired by others.  There are galleries for each month's kit which is great if you need some new ideas for how to use the things in your kit!
